Election day is here but for members of the Irish football community, the reward for sustained canvassing was evident on Monday night.
The Premier Sports debate on sport was dominated by discussion around the funding of football in Ireland, with participants falling over themselves to declare their League of Ireland loyalties, a surreal state of affairs for lifers who have never felt any love from Leinster House.
