Paschal Donohoe has shut down the suggestion that Ireland should consider establishing a National Infrastructure Commission to advise the state on long-term infrastructure delivery.

The minister for public expenditure’s comments come after Julia Prescott, deputy chair of the UK’s National Infrastructure Commission, last week told the National Infrastructure Summit that Ireland should consider setting up its own equivalent commission.
