If anyone knows the meaning of them term suited and booted it’s Fidelma Marrinan.
By day she’s part of Clare’s finest as a Garda trainee who also just so happens to line out for her county on the pitch in her free time and was recently nominated for Player of the Year at the 2023 TG4 All Star awards, and although she didn’t walk away with the spoils, she certainly caught our attention.
Suited and booted she might be most of the time but stylish and glam might be more appropriate terms for the young footballer as she graced the red carpet of the Bonnington Hotel on Saturday night.
Fidelma chose a stunning full-length white gown for the All-Stars, with a high neckline and long sleeves and pearls detail However, it’s not the first time, the future garda has shown off her style credentials.
Early in November Fidelma was looking equally glam as she posed alongside her teammates at the TG4 Team of the Champions Awards.
Fidelma kept her look classic for the occasion in a LBD number with a daring side split which appears to be a popular look this awards season.
Fidelma has the weight of the boys and girls in blue behind her as she vies for player of the year.
Ahead of the awards An Garda Síochána posted: ‘In showing her ability to juggle many demands -@GaaClare footballer and Garda Trainee, Fidelma Marrinan has been nominated for the 2023 @TG4TV All Star @LadiesFootball Team having been named leading scorer in this years All-Ireland Championship.
Fidelma has always dreamed of joining the ranks of the Gardai since she was a little girl.
