A half-century from Amy Hunter was not enough to prevent the Ireland women’s cricket team falling to a five-wicket defeat to Bangladesh in their second ODI in Mirpur.
Ireland fell 2-0 down in the series as Bangladesh reached their target of 194 with 37 balls to spare.
Batting first, Ireland made 193 for six as Hunter scored 68 off 88 deliveries with eight boundaries.
That effort helped Ireland recover from early setbacks that had them on 35 for two.
Orla Prendergast scored 37 in a stand of 91 with Hunter, and Laura Delany added 33 before both were run out.
