Late night Christmas train services from Dublin to Kildare, Maynooth, and Dundalk announced

Passengers travelling from Dublin to Kildare and Maynooth will now have some late night train options to choose from

Late night Commuter services to Kildare and Maynooth are operating on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays

A late night train service to Kildare will operate during the busy Christmas period.

Commuter services to Kildare, Maynooth and Dundalk will be available on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays until Saturday December 23. The service will also be available again on New Year’s Eve to allow anyone taking part in Dublin’s New Year’s Eve celebrations a way to get home.

For any passengers travelling to Kildare on Thursdays, Fridays or Saturdays, a train will leave Pearse Station in Dublin at 23.50 and 01.50 and will serve all stations to Drumcondra, and all stations from ParkWest to Kildare.

Anyone travelling to Maynooth on the three days listed above, can catch a train from Pearse Station at either 00:20 or 02:00.

On New Year’s Eve, Sunday December 31, trains will leave Pearse station at 00:50 and 02:50 to serve all stations to Drumcondra, and all stations from ParkWest to Kildare.

For Maynooth passengers, trains will leave Pearse Station at 01:20 and 03:00 to serve all stations to Maynooth.

Fares will be charged at normal rates, meaning customers can use Leapcard and buy cash fares for the best value Christmas travel option.

Weekly, monthly and annual season tickets are also valid on late night services, so season ticket holders will be able to use the services at no extra charge.

Late night services will have security personnel on board to ensure customer safety.
