Fast-rising US singer-songwriter Michael Marcagi, who has enjoyed whirlwind popularity in Ireland this year, will play the Grand Social, Dublin this April.

Tickets for the 14s and over show o 17 April are priced from €23.00 and go on sale Friday 16 February at 10am.
The 30-year-old Cincinnati singer previewed his song Scared to Start on TikTok last November, after which it was used in over 70,000 videos on the platform.
His global streams shot up by 37% last week but it is Ireland where he has enjoyed most success, with Irish streams up 72.2% last week alone.
He has also enjoyed hit the top 11 daily top songs on Spotify in Ireland, number 45 on Irish Shazam Chart and last Friday, Scared to Start climbed to No. 8 on the singles chart.
Marcagi recently singed to Warner Records and has just released his debut five-track EP.
Speaking about Scared to Start, he says, “It’s a song for the adventurers, the travellers, and the people who look forward without dwelling on the uncertainties of life.
“It’s about taking the risks and putting yourself out of your comfort zone, regardless of what the rest of the world has to say.”
