Irish consumers spent over €500 million on fitness tech

A new survey by Pure Telecom has shown the increased popularity in fitness technology in Ireland.

After spending over half a billion euro in 2022, it’s safe to say that many Irish people have gone fitness crazy.

The new survey shows that 71% of the adults polled said they have also used an online fitness tracking app and calorie tracking application.

The average adult spent €143 on online fitness and wellbeing in 2022.

Male consumers spent an average of €213, while there was an average of €122 for women.

The global fitness industry is expected to grow by 57% by 2027, meaning this trend is likely to continue over the next decade.
